Raw material
Yarn and fibre suitability are considered before production.
Internal evaluation, process control and inspection support consistent textile manufacture.
Construction must be measured, controlled and reproduced.
TTW's internal facilities allow relevant textile characteristics to be assessed during development and production, depending on the material, applicable method and intended use.
The objective is not only a successful development sample, but a textile that can be manufactured consistently.
Yarn and fibre suitability are considered before production.
The textile architecture is maintained against the defined requirement.
Production sign-off, equipment checks and controlled manufacturing records support repeatability.
Relevant characteristics are evaluated during development and production against approved methods.
In-process checks and final inspection support conforming release.
Order, material and production records support traceability from supplier input through dispatch.
The assessment awarded TTW 565/565 and recorded no non-conformances. The reviewed scope included procedures, personnel and training records, approved test standards, controlled documentation, production control, in-process and final inspection, material identification and traceability. This is not represented as ISO certification.
A time-bound facility assessment that achieved 60/60 at the time of review.
In January 2024, Armscor Quality reviewed TTW's body-armour testing facility across range equipment, backing-material preparation and control, velocity measurement, ambient-condition monitoring, test personnel and health-and-safety measures.
The supplied report was valid for one year and has expired. It is not presented as current approval or as certification of a textile or finished armour system. Current approval, test methods and third-party validation requirements are confirmed for each programme.
Customer specifications, procurement requirements, test methods, performance criteria and applicable national or international standards are considered at project level.
Where accredited testing or independent certification is required, appropriate third-party laboratory work can form part of the customer's qualification process.
